The Big Picture was a weekly television series produced by the United States Army that ran from 1950 to 1975. This special episode focused on the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO) and was a piece of US propaganda that articulated the importance of the security pact in keeping Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Thailand, and the Philippines safe from communists. The video contextualizes the post-war regional landscape and references the Korean War (1950-1955) as informing the formation of SEATO.
